Rim of the WorldRim of the World
A shy and socially awkward boy named Alex (Jack Gore) gets sent to a summer camp, titled “Rim of the World.” It's not long before he bands together with a group of misfits — as typically happens in these sorts of movies. When the group is wandering in the woods one day, they miss the call for evacuation and return to camp to find it empty. Alien ships were seen invading the valley. As luck would have it, a spacecraft returning from the International Space Station lands nearby. The dying astronaut gives a key to Alex and tells him he must save the world. Naturally.
The SilenceThe Silence
When a research team accidentally unearths a species of pterosaur-like creatures, the whole world is in danger. The creatures, referred to as “vesps,” are attracted to noise. The government warns people to stay quiet and stay inside. Along with her family, Ally (Kiernan Shipka), a Deaf teenager, leaves for the country, where it’s bound to be quieter. But with car crashes, dogs barking, and a grandma coughing all drawing the attention of the vesps, every step the family takes is dangerous.
New Look at Knives Out 3: Benoit Blanc is Older, Bolder… and Hanging Out in a Graveyard
Netflix has dropped a fresh still from the upcoming Knives Out threequel — now officially titled Wake Up Dead Man — and yes, it features everyone’s favorite gentleman sleuth Benoit Blanc doing some deep thinking… next to a headstone. Mood: Halloween-ready.
What’s On Netflix
In the new image, Daniel Craig’s Blanc is giving off some serious gothic mystery vibes. He’s sporting longer hair, looks more seasoned (read: aged like fine bourbon), and leans pensively against a tree in what appears to be a foggy forest graveyard. Subtle? No. Iconic? Absolutely.
The Knives Out franchise began back in 2019 with a star-packed cast — Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, and others — and a delightfully twisty plot. It made over $312 million globally, which, considering it dropped during the early days of the pandemic, is nothing short of impressive. The second film, Glass Onion, took a more "Netflix-first" release approach, much to Daniel Craig’s rumored disappointment, and earned a more modest $13 million in theaters.
As for Wake Up Dead Man, plot details are under wraps, but writer-director Rian Johnson has teased that Blanc will be tackling his “most dangerous case yet.” Given the graveyard setting, we’re expecting dead bodies, buried secrets, and possibly a séance or two.
What’s On Netflix
This time around, the cast is once again stacked: Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus), Josh O’Connor (The Crown), Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, and more are on board for the ride. Basically, if there’s a red carpet, someone from this movie will be on it.
Filming wrapped in August 2024, with Johnson posting a cheeky photo on Instagram from the cemetery set — complete with a “Please Be Respectful of the Graves” sign. Subtle foreshadowing or just good set design? Time will tell.
Expect the full trailer for Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man to drop on May 31 during Netflix’s Tudum event. As for the release, mark your calendars (and maybe your tombstones) for late October 2025. Just in time to pair your candy corn with a murder mystery.
